What Is A Phobia?
February 8, 2008
Have you ever wondered what a phobia actually is? Well the Manchester Evening News ran an article talking about what a phobia is, how it can start and estimates that 13 per cent of people will develop a phobia at some point in their lives.
Many people grow up with a phobia and come to accept it as part of their lives, others do something about it. It’s the phobias that we develop later in life that puzzles and confuses people and this is touched upon in the article.
Just because you developed a phobia so long ago that you feel it is now part of you, that’s no reason why you shouldn’t get rid of it and live your life phobia-free. There are many professional ways to seek help. Therapies include CBT, counselling, relaxation therapy, face your fear therapies and of course, hypnotherapy!
