Sports Improvement – Even When You Can’t Practice

sport hypnosisDid you know that Hypnotherapy and NLP techniques can improve physical performance even without practice?

Now, I’m not saying that you can become the next Linford Christie or Wayne Rooney without practice, far from it, but it can help you improve and keep you focused between sessions.

Many athletes and sportspersons use hypnosis as a way of improving.  Many NLP techniques are used without even realising that that is what they’re doing.  Both NLP and Hypnotherapy use visualisation.  How many coaches and managers tell their athletes to ‘see yourself going past the finishing line’ or ‘see yourself going over that hurdle’?

Under hypnosis, visualisation is more vivid and therefore a lot stronger.  Many premiership teams have employed performance coaches to help their players using methods such as life coaching, NLP and hypnotherapy.  They can be used to improve performance in physical activities like dancing, sport or athletics and also in the business arena, such as sales, presentations and team building.

However, NLP and Hypnotherapy can also be used to help improve performance even when the person isn’t able to practice for a while.  They can also aid recovery from injury, helping to keep the person in focus and speed up their ability to get back on top form.
