Psychology Students Experience Hypnosis
January 29, 2008
A high school in Michigan enlisted the help of professional hypnotist Rick Wheeler to engage their psychology students in hypnosis.
Several student volunteers were given the opportunity to experience hypnosis in front of their classmates and commented how relaxing it was. Despite being in front of their peers, the students relaxed into hypnosis and said they didn’t want it to end.
Their teacher noted how the students developed a new understanding of hypnosis and even those who hadn’t been hypnotised themselves had a greater appreciation for what they had read in their textbooks.
Wheeler explained how hypnosis wasn’t just for entertainment and discussed the various clinical applications in hypnotherapy.
