McKenna Now Britain’s Highest Paid TV Personality

Talk about think yourself rich!  Last night, 44 year old hypnotherapist Paul McKenna signed a three year deal with the Discovery Channel for a new diet series, being paid over £5 million per year.  Add to that the expected £2.5 million per year from US sales of online step by step diet guides and the deal is worth over £23 million.  That beats even Jonathan Ross’ £18 million deal.

It seems Paul McKenna is being challenged to cure America’s obesity problem with his weight loss strategies, which claim a 71% success rate.  The first series will start in March with an interactive format to encourage viewers to join in the techniques at home.  It is expected that the show will then be syndicated all over the world.

We can expect to be hearing a lot more of Paul McKenna, which can only be good news for increasing the profile of the hypnotherapy industry and demand for hypnotherapists.
