Hypnotherapy CPD Seminar: Self Protection
January 11, 2008
Now here is a topic I believe few hypnotherapists are aware of and certainly all should be.
Self protection is important to ensure that a hypnotherapist doesn’t become embroiled in their client’s problems. Indeed, this topic is a general all-rounder for any therapist.
As Hypnotherapy is not a regulated profession, there are few professional standards in place – although that is something slowly being addressed. Other therapy professions, such as counselling and psychotherapy, have requirements such as peer supervision, which helps in this area.
The National Council of Hypnotherapy is running their next seminar on the topic of Self Protection. The seminar will cover self therapy, working alone, personal well-being and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Hypnotherapists need to place more importance on these topics. If you think it isn’t important to your business, you’re wrong. If you can’t take care of yourself, how will you continue working and building your practice?
This event takes place on Saturday 16th February from 9.30 – 4.30 and is being run by Su Ricks at the Staverton Park Hotel in Daventry and will cost only £60 per person.
