Hypnotherapy Course Pass Rate of 100%?
January 13, 2008
This Newcastle-based training organisation is offering a clinical Hypnotherapy course aimed particularly at those who have already studied an NLP practitioner course with them.
The Hypnotherapy course is taken one weekend per month for five months and the next course starts on Saturday 16th February. Communicating Excellence runs all their courses in North East England and their course is accredited by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council (GHSC), a well respected Hypnotherapy organisation in the UK.
Five months doesn’t seem very long, but the fact that the weekends are spaced out will presumably give sufficient time for study and assignments in between. Having NLP Practitioner status as a pre-requisite also goes in their favour because much of the theory behind hypnosis relies upon language patterns.
The only small issue I have with this course is the claim of a 100% pass rate. They don’t say how long the course has been running or how many students they’ve had on the course but 100% always brings doubt to my mind. It also says students will have a written or an oral exam to pass – which is it? Surely you should know, is it oral or is it written? I’m sure the course is perfectly acceptable and having been accredited by the GHSC, it is probably of a high standard but I think this final section of the course overview should be rewritten to avoid any confusion.

I know what you mean. I always worry whenever I see a course, especially for something like hypnotherapy, that boasts a 100% pass rate. I always ask for the pass rate whenever I ring about any course and I usually give it a wide berth if they say everyone passes.
Having said that, this course is specifically aimed at those who already have their NLP Practitioner qualification. Presumably, if the NLP course was done correctly, then a course like this would expect to have a very high pass rate.
100% is pretty amazing though!
