Hypnotherapy Associated With The Devil?

Earlier this year, in a letter to the American newspaper, The Paper Online, hypnotherapist Sharon Parker commented about how people react when she tells them her occupation. Some people comment about how her craft and qualifications are associated with devil worship.
That’s not something I’ve come across, but her response is an interesting one. Hypnosis is a form of meditation. It is achieved by relaxing deeply or by concentrating hard on something, for example, when engrossed in a good book that is hypnosis. During a Hypnotherapy session, the client will concentrate on the hypnotherapists voice.
Sharon’s response is that meditation works in conjunction with prayer. When nuns or monks pray, they concentrate and enter a self-hypnosis, hypnotic state.
