Hypnotherapist Criminal Records Bureau Checks Service

December 6, 2007

If a hypnotherapist works with children, the elderly or other groups of vulnerable people, it is worth having a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Check. It helps to reassure clients about the hypnotherapists trustworthiness and some hypnotherapy regulatory groups are starting to encourage this.

An individual cannot apply for a CRB check individually; it should be done either via an employer’s human resources department or an appropriate umbrella body who offers this service.

If you would like to apply for one, you should contact your regulatory body to find out if they can offer this service. Alternatively, if you are a member of the General Hypnotherapy Register, they are able to arrange a CRB check for you.
