Hypnosis Case Study: After 20 Years, Why Am I Suddenly Afraid Of Escalators?

December 15, 2007

This is an interesting case study, written by the client herself.  Linda Grant lives in London and has used the tubes for over 20 years and yet one summer she suddenly developed a real fear of going down escalators.

Linda kept this new fear mainly to herself but when she told her sister, she suggested hypnotherapy.  After just one session, the fear receded and Linda finally managed to get on the next escalator.

The hypnotherapist in question is Aaron Surtees.  Aaron runs the City Hypnosis practice in Angel, London and is a member of the Clinical and Therapeutic Hypnosis Association (CTHA).  He also recently appeared on BBC Breakfast News in an interview about Lewis Hamilton F1 and sports psychology.
