Hospital Offers Hypnotherapy For Mums-to-be

January 10, 2008

Hypnotherapy Smoking PregnancyLiverpool’s Women’s Hospital are offering hypnotherapy to help mums-to-be kick the habit and quit smoking.

The joys of pregnancy can be tainted for smoking women. Even if the woman cuts down on her smoking, she can feel guilty and paranoid with every cigarette that she may be harming her unborn child or that others will be pointing the finger and scorning her for smoking during pregnancy.

Hypnotherapist Jeanette Seddon specialises in pregnancy and childbirth and gives the hypnosis sessions at the hospital. Jeanette agrees that in order to quit, the women must want to and be ready to and it can take one to four sessions, however, so far the service has had some excellent results.

The service was featured yesterday in the Liverpool Echo. One lady who had the hypnosis for her second pregnancy, explained that she enjoyed her pregnancy much more than her first and didn’t even return to smoking after the birth.
