Does Hypnosis Prove Existence Of Aliens And UFO’s?

A UFO investigator from South Wales is featured today is the South Wales Echo, claiming that he hypnotises people who cannot remember periods of their life.

The 67 year old investigator, David Coggins, of Pontypridd says that during hypnotic regression these people recall sighting of the crafts, visiting them and being medically examined.

We are given no information on Mr Coggins qualifications in hypnosis and it is implied in the article that these people do not remember recounting their stories but are played the recorded session afterwards.

Most people do remember their hypnosis sessions, there is no reason why they shouldn’t. Also, during hypnosis, people become very imaginative and are open to suggestion, which is why guided imagery can be very useful for therapeutic reasons. Therefore, this evidence for UFO’s cannot be relied upon, in the same way that hypnotised witnesses testimonies cannot be used in court.
