Hypno Birthing in the Daily Mail & Bromsgrove

November 30, 2007

Tom Sykes, a freelance journalist, has published his thoughts on hypnobirthing in the Daily Mail yesterday. Against his wishes, Tom’s wife was adamant she wanted a hypnobirth. Tom was adamant he didn’t even want to be at the birth, preferring to play the more traditional man’s role, down the pub.

Tom and his wife, Sasha, were taught the methods of the hypno-birthing program by Aisling Killoran, a hypnotherapist in Dublin who specialises in using hypnosis for birthing at her clinic Accomplish Change. Aisling also uses a program called Hypno Fertility to help couples to conceive.

Tom was not only present all the way through, but played an instrumental role in the birth. After just one hour and 19 minutes in the hospital, Sasha gave birth to baby Eleanor.

Confident Childbirth Courses will be exhibiting at the Mother, Baby & Toddler Fair in Bromsgrove this Saturday 2nd December, where they will be giving information on hypnobirthing.
