Army Amputees Receive Hypnotherapy
December 28, 2007
Prestatyn based hypnotherapist, Wynne Roberts, is offering Hypnotherapy to wounded soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.
Wynne is one of the UK’s leading hypnotherapists offering hypnosis for pain, in particular for those who have lost limbs.
His interview with the Daily Post yesterday discusses his experiences with using Hypnotherapy to treat a former railway work who had lost a leg and victims from the 2005 London bombings.
Many of those who have lost limbs experience pain from the ‘phantom limb’. Painkillers often do not work because the limb is not there. In the subconscious minds of the victim, the limb is still there.
Wynne does hypnosis through health organisation BUPA, although he says he still finds it difficult to gain recognition from the health authorities.
