67 Year Old Hypnotised Herself For Knee Surgery
A 67 year old pensioner, a trained hypnotherapist for fifteen years, hypnotised herself for her knee surgery.
The one hour operation is normally performed under general anaesthetic only and was performed at the private Orthopaedics and Spine Specialist Hospital in Peterborough.
Bernadine Coady insisted she wanted nothing other than hypnosis for the pain control. The operation involved drilling a hole into her knee and inserting a camera - otherwise known as keyhole surgery.
